Legacy Melee (Rundown 1-5)
This page provides information about the legacy melee weapons from Rundown 1 to Rundown 5 in the game. The legacy melee weapons had the same stats and function similarly to the new Melee system, with basic and charged attacks as well as a shove move. The page also includes a list of legacy melee weapons and a gallery showcasing their first-person views. However, please note that this page does not cover melee weapons from Rundown 6 onwards.
What are the differences between legacy melee and new melee?
Legacy melee weapons had the same stats, the different types were simply cosmetic. They function similarly to new Melee, with an uncharged swing, a charged swing, and a shove.
What is the basic attack in legacy melee?
Left-clicking on an enemy will perform a basic attack. It will not do as much damage as a charged attack. Killing a sleeper or hitting a surface may wake up nearby sleepers.
How does the charged attack work in legacy melee?
Holding left-click will charge up the weapon, filling the circle in the middle of the screen. A few seconds after it has been fully charged, it will automatically perform the attack. Releasing left-click at any time will also perform the attack. A charged attack does significantly more damage than a basic attack. Like the basic attack, killing a sleeper or hitting a surface may wake up nearby sleepers.
What is the shove move in legacy melee?
Right-clicking on an enemy will perform a shove. Shoving will stagger most enemies and stop their attack for a short period of time. Shoving can also be used to cancel a charged melee attack. Shoving a sleeper will immediately wake it up, but it will not affect big sleepers. Shoving does not wake up nearby sleepers.
What is quick-shove in legacy melee?
Quick-Shove is performed by pressing the bound key for 'Melee' (defaults to 'C'). It can be used to switch from the current equipped weapon to perform a shove. When a melee weapon is already equipped, it will just perform a normal shove.
